The textual piece TRUST is spoken by two performers who move through the crowd crouching and touching the bystanders. The pronunciation is gentle and delicate, both voices are echoing in similar intonation. The whispered dialogue appears to be spoken by one voice forming one body with the audience. The performers are dressed and painted in gold, questioning the value of skin. The dialogue genuinely reflects narrative structures and points towards genderless communication and dream-like.

The performance is embodied by Isabella Fürnkäs and Pola Fendel in the framework of Isabella Fürnkäs‘ textual piece TRUST. Costumes and styling are specially designed by Marion Benoit.

Chain reactions: Maurin Dietrich invited Isabella Fürnkäs, who invited Laura Catania, who invited Baal & Mortimer, Nora Hansen (feat. Mary Lake) and Josefine Reisch, as well as Siansull. Isabella Fürnkäs also invited Marion Benoit and Pola Fendel to be part of the performance evening.

Isabella Fürnkäs and Laura Catania are invited to host an evening at Bob’s Pogo Bar on the 16th of November.

The bar format is part of the artistic program of the KW – Institute of Contemporary Art which is referring to the former Pogo Bar in the basement of the Institute that acted as a club for artists to meet and exchange in Berlin-Mitte of the late 90’s. The program is developed as a two-piece night with a performance by Isabella Fürnkäs and a music-concept by Laura Catania. 

The performative work TRUST will be embodied by Fürnkäs herself and Pola Fendel in the framework of a spoken dialogue based on a textual work reflecting private narrative structures. Moving through the space while mutually touching each other, they will wear costumes created by Marion Benoit. Under the heading of HEAVEN Catania invited artists from Berlin and London to compose and write tracks for the first release of her record label Heaven she founded together with Thomas Spallek in summer 2017. The label arose from the wish to support female artists who create music emerging out of a cross media approach. For the course of the evening Baal & Mortimer, Nora Hansen (feat. Mary Lake) and Siansull will perform their pieces made for HEAVEN live at Bob’s Pogo Bar. In addition the bar will serve Katharina Sieverding's HEAVEN SEVEN a drink, created by the artist herself. Polaroid photos were taken by Keta Gavasheli.
