New York... The Drawing Center is proud to present Form, Shadow, Motion: Selections from the Burger Collection. Continuing The Drawing Center’s tradition of exhibitions drawn from notable private collections, curator Olivia Shao has selected approximately fifty works on paper from the Burgers' expansive holdings of more than 1,000 works on paper, to construct a focused visual essay on shared historical, poetic, and philosophical concerns, with Hong Kong and New York as twin points of reference and Eastern thought and Western philosophy as its guiding frameworks. Featuring thirty-eight artists from around the globe, Form, Shadow, Motion will occupy the entirety of The Drawing Center's gallery space before traveling in an expanded format to Asia Society, Hong Kong in 2027.
